    Uefa package

Well lads, the package is finally available but the cost is £459, a tad expensive for 3 nights b&b in Bulgaria. More than likely i'll pay but that kind of money in Bulgaria gets you 2 weeks on the black sea at the riveria of Bulgaria, Varna.

Don't knock it, Cork City were charging close to £600 for one night's B&B in Latvia, though Shels are charging £349 (+ taxes) for a two-night stay or £427 (+ taxes) for a three-night stay in Denmark.

    Unhappy

That price is definitly pushing my budget to the limit. I'd kinda allowed £500 for the whole trip.
Not sure that spending that much can be justified with car insurance etc due. For F*cks sake - i know town fans that are going to one of the resorts for 2 weeks for far less. I hope the club aren't trying to recoup the teams travel by bumping up the price of the fans.....

£500!!!! Still going but i was hoping to spend a lot more on the cheap booze! Thought the deal would've been a lot cheaper, but maybe the price of beer over there will balance things out.. How much is a trip to Bulgaria normally lads? And do ya think the Bulgarians will raise prices when we come over?

    Alot of money

Anyone I've talk to, got the black sea for around £450 for 7 nights. But then they have to, get to Lovech (4.5 hours to 5 hours trip) pay for their transport, B&B the night of the match & get tickets for the match which can not be Guaranteed

That's ok then, so what you saying a seven day trip is still cheaper than going for four days with the club?
How did we ever think that was unreasonable
You can get flights to Sofia for £290 inc tax, so it would want to be some f*cking hotel to make up that kinda difference.

    Yours in disillusionment,

The Travel agents told me that a flight to Sofia is about £320 inc tax (in Longford & dublin) the only way is to Budapest then to sofia for £276 inc tax...Which the club don't want to do. Hotels in Sofia are about £50 a night.

But I do agree Macy its alot of money!!

Whos the travel agent used? Please don't say it's one of those 'specialist' operations like Ray Treacy who only specialise in ripping off fans (allegedly)

The cheapest one was in Dublin..Talbot Travel...
The problem with the people that are going to the Black sea is that they are not gauranteed tickets as the club are only getting 5% of the tickets(320).

With the prices involved, some how I don't think that will be a problem. The club would be lucky if the plane is full.......

Well Macy, if they can't get tickets anywhere else, they have to go with the club...btw £279 (Flight inc Tax) + ??(the cost of travelling from Sofia to Lovech) + £150(3 nights) + £20 (ticket price the club are being charged)...Total price over £449...The clubs price is £459 but could come down to £429 (Depending if they can get the airlines to come down on their price)

The reason the club had to hire a plane is because their was no direct flights to Sofia to suit the club & under UEFA rules the club have to be in the country they are playing in, at least 24 Hours before the match.

BTW..The 1st Plane is nearly full & looks like they will have to put on another plane!! Fans from other clubs around the country think its a reasonable price for both home match & the away trip!

    Europe

How many people are booked onto the first plane?

Does this mean that with other clubs wanting to support us that a few of our own supporters might lose out? Does anybody know when the deadline is for signings to be made in order to be eligible to play in this UEFA Cup?

Which of our supporters are not heading over?

On Sunday there was just over 200 people booked on the plane & the plane only holds 250. If there is a demand there will be 2nd plane put on. It's looking like there will be only about 340 tickets available for LTFC fans for the 2nd leg.

Whatever. All I know is that of the 10-15 regulars that were definitly going, there's only a couple that have that type of money. Regardless of the rights and wrongs there are a lot who simply can't afford the trip at that price - all the club had to do was explain the story with the charter flights and then no questions would have been asked.

For those that can't go, is it possible that any sort of a satelllite link-up (ooooh) can be made so it can be watched from home live? RTE are hardly showing it anyway?
"I don’t want to tempt fate, but Thierry Henry is not having one of his best nights." - RTE co-commentator Jim Beglin, minutes before TH struck the stunning winner.

RTE are a shower of usless c****s.......no interest in the national league that's one of the main reason that the league is not as successful as it should be....appartantly they have no interest in showing boh's next match in the champions league never mind the town...saying that i'm sure they'll come begging to the town when we draw leeds in the next round !!! RTE - the E stands for english !!!

    RTE

There was something in the paper yesterday about a three year deal the RTE had with $hel$. Fair play to them if they can get that sort of deal out of RTE.

Yes but, surely RTEngland should pick the games on their merits. Say Bohs or us had drawn/ do draw a big team. O'connor of RTE says they've spent their budget for eL.....
