A long time ago I did follow with interest the progress of Cameroon during the World Cup and was gutted when in the semi-final they were defeated. My interest was, I convinced myself, about cheering on the underdog. However, I also watched Germany beat England on penalties at the final the following week.

Clearly wasn't following TOO closely...

Really enojyed that article, its interesting how someone whos not big into football can see something so obvious i.e. the excitement of live football and supporting your local team
