In all fairness the first goal may have looked bad but it took a dreadful hop off a bad pitch. Terrible for the second goal and bad for the thrid
We've had difficulty getting a keeper. Obviously if we have two quality keepers from Derry playing elsewhere they will be easier to bring to the Brandywell. If McCourt wasn't a Derryman he wouldn't be playing for us.That's where I was coming from.
You really are a pedantic so and so![]()
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls

I don't agree Lofty. Just cuz you're form Derry doesn;'t necessarily make it more likely that you'd be happy moving to the club.
I reckon we'd have more chance getting a keeper elsewhere in Ireland to come to Derry than getting a Derry man settled in English football to turn his back on all of that to join us.
Don't underestimate how difficult it would probably be to pluck young players out of English football early in their careers to come and play for us.
That Coleraine keepeer sounds like he'd be worth a look at though !
We were looking at O Hare before Forde returned. We'll just have to wait until July for some hope!

On the subject of Gerard Doherty, while I'm sure he'd do a good job for Derry I have it on good accord that he's leaving to join Cardiff in the summer.
Gerry told me about this story that appeared in the Welsh press this week. He reckons its hot air and said if Alexander doesn't sign a new contract at Cardiff, Jones will go out and get an experienced keeper. He also said if there is contact with Cardiff he is not going to go there and be third choice keeper. He is also aware of the situation back home and the prospect of CL football.![]()

Good on him. Dave Jones isn't any good at picking teams.
For what its worth, 1 of the top 5 eL keepers sits on Citys bench.
We're very lucky to have kept onto him and will be in safe hands when Devine leaves.
McNulty should start against Dungannon actually if not Rovers. I think Mick hurt his arm in the Brandywell.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.
O'Bama - "Eerah yeah, I'd say we can alright!"
G.O'Mahoney Trapattoni'll sort ém out!!
If it's Champions' League football he wants he might as well just stay at TNS. He's pretty much guaranteed Champions League football every year there as they are by far the best side in the League of Wales.
I'd like to see us go in for him to be honest, good keeper, have watched him a few times, most recently against Newport on TV when he had a solid albeit not too busy evening. He seems capable of match-winning saves.
Although we've got Gueret and Oakes they're getting on a bit and Gueret has not been at his best at times this year.
He played especially well against Liverpool a couple years back when TNS played them, so we know he can do it against quality opposition. Would be happy to see him at the Liberty Stadium as another Welsh Premier lad Owain Tudur Jones has done really well for us since joining from Bangor City.
