    Newry City v Linfield

The Free The Fifa Two Express rolls into the Showgrounds Tuesday.
Who should i be shouting for?
Will there be much of a crowd/ atmosphere and will Newry get thumped?
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Newry should put up a decent fight with Flynn in charge although I wouldn't think the crowd would be too great.

Is this Flynn only installed the last few days?

I'm just gonna sing for whoevers fans are nearest.
Would there be more Blues fans down for this seen as they're about to clinch the title?
Should be a nice little stop-off on the way home anyway.
    <1,000 attendance?

What's the story with a full fixture list on a Tuesday afternoon? A double bank holiday in Northern Ireland?

there will be definatly more than 1000 fans. I would expect around the 1800 mark.

It's hard to say really, there could be a bigger crowd as its easter tuesday. I know there was 2500 bluemen that turned up to the game against Glenavon last easter Tuesday at Mournview, but people like mournview, but Newry is hmmm, not as nice a ground as some.

Flynn's there a few weeks now. His first game was the 1st in February against his former side Coleraine just a couple of days after finally getting the job so really his first 'full' game was against us in the 6th round (2nd round for IPL teams).

Apparently a good crowd turned up, I hope you enjoyed your visit to the Showgrounds. Linfield apparently looked very comfortable and didnt get out of second gear.

Cheers Steve Bruce, twas a good experience.
Thought it was a nice wee ground myself, got myself a nice NCFC scarf.
Pity they weren't up to much, especially that Paddy poser upfront.
Some hilariously poor referee / linesman decisions.
Ye bring impressive numbers to away ties, and thats not even counting the hundreds who spent the match in the clubhouse.

Linfield have a tradition of bringing good numbers to away games and we always outnumber the home team with the exception of Glentoran.

The Refereeing is in a diabolical state up here and the Linesmen are hit and miss.

If your able to get up on Saturday, you should try the Glentoran vs Linfield game. You would be better going into the Glentoran end as I dont think there are any ticket restrictions. We have only got between 3000 - 4500 tickets(not totally sure of the official number) and they will be snapped up very quickly.

We always play on Easter Tuesday. Most people are off work, only really Bank people who are in work. It's not a bank holiday but its an unofficial public holiday.

Do you not live in NI?

Born and bred, but not any more. I do get all the Irish TV channels over here though, so get to keep in touch very well that way.

Have a wee look at the 'location' bit in the top right-hand corner of every post I make.....
