They've (RTE) now gone and made a 3-part documentary about her. It's on Mondays at 9.30 (might've started last monday actually ...if so I missed it).

This is getting close to fetishist. I'm no securocrat but I do believe that woman should be able to run onto the set of the main evening news, happy-slap the newsreader and be unidentifiable to all but the 'branch.
This obsession that RTE have with her, played no small part in me coming up with the Idea form my novel(see Here)

Whilst I agree that they should not show the numberplate of her car, this lark of blurring out numberplates in any footage is a bit ridiculous. It reached its limit recently when the Gardai were appealing for any witness who might have seen a black audi in the area on the night in question - cut to same Black Audi which has had its number plates covered-up by the Gardia!

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same black Audi, just a "stand-in". And they probably blurred the numberplate so that people won't see the number of the stand-in car, and mistakenly think it was the real number. If they did, they might report the stand-in car if they saw it somewhere.

Don;t want to get into an argument about it, but I'm pretty sure it was the same black audi; they had the number plate covered with a black bin bag taped over it. It was at or near the crime scene. This was a couple of months ago, in Finglas I think it was.

    ah, sounds like you're right.

I thought it was along the lines of "does anybody remember seeing a black audi in the area on the night of the crime (cut to a shot of a similar black audi)".

...or if they couldn't find such a shot in the archives - some footage from Henry Fords production line circa 1907.

Would you describe this obsession as 'pathological' Lionel?

Perhaps I would ...and RTE most definitely would.

Clash of characters here. Last three novels by James feature Roy Grace a Detective Superintendent in Brighton and the local Chief Mortician for the county Cleo. Bit similar IMO. Great crime novels btw

Honestly I've never read any of his stuff. It's so hard to come up with an originall plot
