What's the €200k for the FAI ?
Is it an allocation directly to them - or have they just estimated the amount of fines clubs will have to pay them over the next 5 seasons and passed it straight onto Merrion Square to save the hassle.....?
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
I think thats Drogheda Town and not United, Galway Harps but not sure. As for Thomas Davis is anyone really surprised? apart from that you got them all curious myself about the FAI though....
Great hear about all these ground improvements and the money going into them all the same.
Everyone needs something to believe in, I believe I'll have another beer.
You're right Steno, sorry about that!

The FAI money is possibly for the new offices at Abbottstown.
Ah well thats sorts that one out then!, Galway Harps what you sorry for? don't be silly!

Sorry for confusing any passing Drogheda fans
Although I probably should have been looking under the Meath section for them.....

Interesting that they decline to provide a breakdown on the amounts going to each sport. Wonder why that is?
Looking through the list there certainly are a hell of a lot of GAA clubs!

Anyway, meant to say... well done Harps!
Best of luck with the project harps, I see the local junior club here got 70,000 might offer a hand to manage the money![]()
Whats the situation with New Finn park now? The site is sorted already yeah? I understood it was a developer buying it and building the new place and when Harps move in, they develop the old ground. Is that still the case?

It's going to be in Stranolar yeah?
Stranorlar yeah - somewhere beside the Finn Valley AC I believe.
Great news about Harps.
Whats the story with Drogheda Town, are they planning to jon the league after United go tits up ?
EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny
Local Gah club got €85,000 even though they already have top of the range flood lightsand the most players I have ever seen training under them was 10
- however, the local pitch and putt course got a nice sum
