Setting up a New Team ?

I was looking to set up a new club in the lsl but I haven't a clue what is required in terms of getting a pitch, insurance and training facilities etc. I currently have a team in the UCD Superleague and the standard is fairly terrible. hence we are looking to move to another league. I was wondering if anybody could advise me on this. We have a full team we just dont know when to begin really.

You need to get your self down to the LSL offices, upstairs in 43 Parnell Square, open Monday and Thursdays from 7.30pm. Talk to someone down there, re application forms. Formation meetings for leagues are usually early June. Application fee is about €275 for a team. You will need to have a pitch sorted, if you have not already done this you will struggle to get one from your local authority in such short time. Public liability will cost you about €300-€400 a team. Check out your astropark for training facilities, usually about €50 a hour but you might have difficulty finding a time that suits. All in all its a costly business and you would probably be better off all heading off to your local LSL club and asking them to take you lot on.

Thanks drummberboy, this is exactly what I was looking for. One question though, how likely would a club create a new team at this stage? As I said before we have our squad which is now looking at about 20+, who would all be happy of moving to the LSL.
