Well they beat us 3-1 at home. We went 1 up early but then went asleep. They might not play pretty footbal but are solid and dogged - they only had the bare 11 the day they played us with the manager playing as well. They are certainly beatable.

Any results from tonights games? Clew Bay beat Castlebar Town 3-1. good win for them. This division could be more open than people think!

Swinford FC - roving reporter for foot. ie. first with the news as usual. Cross match was good. Ballina took the lead on 3 occassions - unfortunately keeping it the last time. They needed however 2 own goals to win the game. They play nice ground football but are beatable.

soccerbot is not up to date but a rough idea is the following

    1 Ballina Town played 5; points 15
    2 Swinford played 5; points 12
    3 K+K Utd played 5; points 10
    4 Glenisland played 4; points 7
    5 Cross Celtic played 5; points 4
    6 Castlebar Ceitc played 4; points 4
    7 Hollister played 5; points 2
    8 Ballyglass played 5; points 0

    how's that sinabhuil

Clew bay 3 - Castlebar town 1. OOOOOPPPPPSSSS!
Maybe they should concentrate on beating teams in their own league as league positions and tables dont lie!

Judging by that Frogs animosity towards the Town I'd say you've already beaten his ass!! Or maybe he's just too yellow to come face to face on a pitch!!!

have castlebar town become so big that they now deserve a thread for themselves??big blow to their title aspirations last thursday evening against a talented bunch of clew bay lads.didn't get to see the match as was away but i hear that they finally got that little bit of luck thats been missing in their last few games.young tommy gill and damian walsh apparantly played very well as did big john scanlon in the heart of the defence.hopefully they can now build on the result from thursday and go on from there.on a side note its a lot to ask lads playing local soccer to play three games in a week-premiership players would be up in arms if they were asked to do it.

well said, look theres other teams in the division 2 forum and this cant be the place for constant slanging matches between rivial teams, either use the castlebar town forum and express your digs and asperations there but not on this forum as its just football the majority want to be talking about, a bit of consideration and common sense please lads...
