    New thoughts!!!

    Hello to all,
Just in case any one was wondering the Town in question is Castlebar! With regards to Div2a Erris have got to be fav. No one's going to fancy having to go all the way down there, although if Erris have to travel to midweek games it could come against them. The Town should be in the shake up as well. They have a good manager in Scobie, Jinx is a good signing and the fact that they now seem to have a decent keeper in Niall Quinn should stand to them. Personally it would be great to see them go up and something some of the longer serving members of the club deserve!

Niall Quinn, is he not with Sunderland!! Suprising that Marcus Moore did not pull you on that one, I thought he was no1. with the Town?

You play with them Town Old Boy? If Jinxsie can keep the head he will be handy alright but he has to controlled, I am sure after Scobys experiences with him last season he knows what to expect.

k/k united have some new players, big panle, new pitch & manager. just hope b mcdonagh is a better manager than he's at darts should go up

like k/k, ballyvary were unlucky to go down last year but should push 4 2nd spot behind erris.

in fairness, everyone that is praising cbar town seems to be slghtly biased. from a neutral position, they seem to be way overrated. they still havent solved their goalkeeper problem, new keeper way too small, weak and cant hold shots or crosses, star player jinx is four stone overweight although he still has the skill, the much praised cheeko in the middle of the park is going nowhere and now seems to get his buzz out off the ball tackles. take it from me, the town will be stuck in the depths of div 2 for many years to come!

I would bet my Bottom Dollar that in fact YOU ARE NIALL QUINN.Because the only one who would say he was decent would be himself. No offence but seriously.

That is a scurlous statement, a Castlebar Town keeper been on foot.ie and posting about themselves!!!

Looking at the times of the 2 posts from the 2 Castlebar Town players........ nah that would be just too much

No IrishYop I'm not a Town Keeper although I have been known to stand between the posts for them in the past....usually under duress I might add!!! When I said the Town keeper was decent I meant better than previous netminder. Jinx may be carryin a bit but the Town have had bigger!! In Div2 a good touch can go a long way. Players anonymously praising themselves on Foot....that's a scurrilous remark. I've never heard such scandal!!!!!

Who was the previous net minder? I thought Marcus was yer goalie?

For sure Jinx will add to your team without a doubt, he has bags of talent, but just needs to sort his head out and get off the booze a bit.
Between himself and Paul Maye it will make a decent midfield.
Is Terry Maughan still with ye?

these players mentioned would walk on to any division 2 side and also alot of higher division teams ,i heard there is a big squad out with the town at the moment and other players like johnny byrne ,terry maughan, stephen flynn, rob moore are good players and also make up a decent side for the town
