    Damage/break in to Belfield Park

    From Sunday Independent:
In another example, UCD's soccer club at Belfield Park was broken into, vandalised and subjected to at least five "horrible and nasty attacks" last week, by what were described by college sources as, "posh Dublin rich kids".
Those involved in the repeated attacks did criminal damage to the pitch, the locker rooms, trophy and treatment rooms, virtually destroyed RTE television and radio broadcast equipment, at a cost of several thousand euro, as well as stealing some of the team's match and training equipment.
On St Patrick's night, after the ground had been hit several times, on-campus security apprehended three alleged culprits. These turned out to be students at leading rugby school, Blackrock College. Gardai, however, have said that because the suspected vandals were under age and they weren't captured on CCTV footage, there was little or nothing they could do, despite the boys being caught in the act by security.
The next night, vandals broke into the ground again and carried out what was described as a "revenge attack".

So they were seen by what I must assume were reliable witnesses and yet nothing can be done because they weren't caught on computer?!

    Something seriously wrong there?

They were caught lurking about at the time of the crime but there's no solid proof that they were the culprits.

"Caught in the act", as per the report, would indicate to me that they were caught in the act of the vandalism.

You'd get that sort of behaviour at St. Skangers in the Inner City And it wouldn't cost you thousands of Euros a year neither. Another reason for moving to the Bowl, it's too far away from Blackrock College...
