Do you want Ireland to win, yes or no?

I'm posting this thread, because I am actually coming to believe that although people are being over the top in their criticism of Stan, they genuinely want the team to do well.

Yes or no? Do you want Ireland to beat Slovakia or would you prefer them to lose to put more pressure on Stan......................

I dearly want them to win and for Stan to come through this...

I could never even imagining cheering for a team against Ireland.

I'll be cheering for an Ireland win for sure and anyone who says they want Slovakia to win to get Staunton out are not real Irish supporters.
I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.

A win yes but if we lose it might still be a win if ginger gets his marching orders or does the honourable thing.

Of course I want them to win, without a doubt. But I want a performance as well, I don't want us to get pummeled and somehow scrape a goal and then pretend everything is hunky dory. We need to see improvement on the pitch, we need to see some structure and leadership and I'm not confident we will.

A win yes as there is still slim chance of qualifying. When that's gone I would look for any result that would ensure Stan is not around for next campaign, even if that impacts on our seeding. I'd rather finish 5th with Stan gone than 3rd and have him stay for next campaign.

A win anyone who wants them to lose doesnt deserve to call themselves Irish.

Good to see there are some genuine Irish supporters left out there. Anyone who shouts for the opposition in Croke Park on Wednesday night does not deserve to be there. Stan is never going to be a great manager but there was'nt a queue looking for the job when it became available. I think the media should lighten up and let him get on with the job and see what happens, as amazing as it seems, we are still in with a shout of qualifying

A win of course. Stan maybe in over his head but that doesn't mean I don't want him to come good!

I for one will never go against Ireland no matter who is in charge or no matter how badly they are performing.Only 3 months ago did I place my name on the waiting list for the block booking.I doubt we'll be at Euro 08 but its important that we come at least 3rd to get our seeding up and make it slighty easier to qualiify for the WC in 2010

    A win

With a good strong, organised team display & plenty of fight.

And a decent atmosphere would be nice !!

People are only foolish as Stan if they think he'll get sacked for bad results.

How many more bad results do we need then? Delaney has said that he stands by his decision. Stan's job is as safe as houses!
