It would make more sense to make our own surely rather than borrow theirs. We are Ireland and not Celtic.

Celtic had a flag day at the recent old firm game. Included was a 'Justice for the 96' banner, supporting those who lost their lives at hillsborough. I think it would be a nice gesture to get this banner on loan for the match v Wales on Saturday. It would look well and would show solidarity for the 96. YNWA
The name of the celtic supporters group who owns the banner is the 'Jungle Bhoys'

Whilst I applaud the intention ( and the cause )....I don't think it would appropriate / relevant for Saturday's game
Yeah I agree with that.

Surely we should be encouraging people not to support Celtic and Liverpool.

Yeah, I can't see any link between Saturdays game and that flag. I have nothing against the sentiment, but it has nothing to do with us.
UCD sha-la-la
Can't see what it has to do with Celtic either but it definitely has nothing to do with us or the occasion on Saturday and IMO cheapens the cause. Who would you be trying to influence, Mary McAleeseFran Gavin

Feck's sake - even if someone wanted to be controversial and put up a Justice for the 14 (Bloody Sunday) banner or something about Welsh coalminers that would at least have some connection to the event.

yeah not appropriate for saturday at all!!
No this shows support for the scouscers and it was clearly their fault that this happened
Mick Wallace's black and white army
How could he be a man he is from Wexford cant you see his crest and name.

How about a huge white flag for the Croker match?
Wouldn't a big banner saying WALK DELANEY be a much better cause than this, at least we created it ourselves. And maybe something will happen (Maybe it will take a few years) if we do this.
San Marino are going to be a handful as the group goes on." - Steve Staunton reacts to performance against San Marino.
Does anyone know if flags can even be hung as easily in croker as they were in Landsdowne? Theres a lot of advertising
The banner is fantastic but as a LFC fan who knew someone who died in Hillsborough and many who were present on that awful day, I would prefer if the banner was not displayed.
Please dont take this as an insult.
Also the justice campaign has nothing to do with attracting fans to Liverpool football club, like some people here seem to think, it is solely a campaign for justice for those innocent people who went to watch a football game and died in the Leppings Lane End of the ground! This could have happened to any club (including your club) given the state of the grounds in times gone by. Some of the people involved in the campaign no longer even attend games.
What has any of this got to do with the Ireland -v- Wales game?![]()
