Well I'm staying well away from Glengarriff Parade now; it's guaranteed to be the epicentre of an immense car-burning riot that night.

Would it be possible to get bus to Dalymount from around Heuston station? or does the Luas go near Dalymount at all? or is there parking at Dalymount itself if arrive early enough?

You could park on the road outside it if you arrive early enough or you could get the luas into town and then get the 19A to Phibsboro.

    No, it's easier to drive.

The first time I experienced Dalymount Park was April 1983. Cliff Thorburn scored the first 147 break the night before on live tv that Rovers won the cup. There was murder off the pitch and on. BoHS got their head kicked in literally on both.

    Sligoman,

there should be on-street parking in residential areas near Dalymount on the North Circular, close to St Peter's church. We used it for the Croke Park games and it was perfect for heading back out to Sligo. It's only a few minutes walk from the ground and should be safe enough, although perhaps the Bohs guys might want to give a perspective on that on match nights.

Heuston is miles away. If you want you could pay for parking in Parnell Square / Ilac and walk up - it's only about twenty minutes from there.

Fine bit of nostalgia until the pointless wind-up in the last sentence.
"Even if the wind stops to blow
Even if the sea ceases to flow
Even if the sun ceases to rise
The name of Sligo Rovers will shine and shine forever like the morning star glittering in the sky."

    Bohs

Its the same as any other Ground, park near to the Ground, leave after the Game, there is only Trouble if you want it, i have been to loads of SRFC V BFC games and never had any bother. I have wandered around outside the ground after to get to my car got stares but nothing more.
The Scumbags will fight each other, as the English say we are Scarfers not Hooligans.
We are the SR the SRFC.......
Part time Finn Harps too :)
