Now that Ireland has slipped further down in the world rankings, where does the international side stand in European terms compared to our league?

I have to cringe when I hear the media talk of the 'lansdowne roar' and the greatest fans in the world

Rovers first for me too , but i still very much would support the national team and want them to win , despite shoddy administration and mad cap management.

    Limerick first
    Sheffield Wednesday second
    Irish cricketers third......

The Irish football team are sandwiched somewhere inbetween the French national team and Hellas Verona in my list of priorites, no wind up

Always Derry C first. Under the current regime i wouldnt go out of my way to see an Ireland game. In fact i'd rather watch NI at the minute

The Oirish national side don't even feature slightly in my mind. I've actually gotten into my againstism in the last couple of years. The same goes for the rugger bandwagon

But in soccer..... don't make me laugh. Why would anybody be remotely interested in supporting the woefully incompetent Delaney/Staunton regime???
Does it matter who is in charge, unless your not irish then obviously supprot your own national team?

It would be interesting to see the result of this poll if it were amongst Irish people who supported English clubs, I bet there would be completly different results! Interesting that only one of those who have posted so far have voted for their country.

Both as they offer completely different experiences ..... personally looking forward to wearing my Rovers shirt in Croke Park next Saturday...hopefully on the back of a victory in the courts today.

My stance in no way is a vindication for Delaney or Staunton or the muppets that follow Ireland and British clubs...

I don't see a clash, I support both. In terms of interest, it's definitely club first. How can 4 or 5 games a year compare with 30 or 40?

Still get bigger crowds than Chievo afaik..

We're valiantly fighting on in Serie B, given referees bias against the club thats all they can do for the time being.

Have Livorno incited any hatred by giving 'hand gestures' at crowds lately? Or have they actually managed to win a league title yet?

Now, now Cristianos fist has as much right to be heard as the next mans

Or have they actually managed to win a league title yet?
Afraid not. That early 80's momentary blip in your teams mediocrity must have been a great day for baby jebus

    I should hope so.

Despite my obvious leftie tendancies I've always had a soft spot for Hellas and their mad cap fans. Damn those posh donkeys from across the river
