    NYC in September

Thinking of going to NYC for 3 nights in late September. Just me and the girlfriend. Anyone got any advice on travel agents, hotels, airlines etc... Would like to be able to do it for less than a grand if possible. Yes I am cheap.

Priced around a bit myself and cheapest I could find was Wolcott Hotel in Manhattan (with 1800 hotels.ie) 3nights 487.12, return flights with Delta 501.37, for a grand total of 988.49.

Can never understand people travelling that far for such a short time.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

Did 7 nights in NYC last September myself for €1,150. Stayed in the Days Inn off 94th and Broadway, budget hotel but had no complaints, did the job for us anyway. In saying that we were only there for about 4/5 hours a day between boozing and sightseeing.

I'd highly recommend a helicopter ride, $120 for a 15 minute jaunt above the city, well worth it. And check out Cafe Wa - think it's just off or on Bleeker St. - live music seven nights and always hopping.

Going in may and got aer lingus return for €435. Wolcott is where we're probably gonna go.

Have used these twice and they are excellent: www.nyhabitat.com

    Keep away from travel agents.
