    no need to panic

way too early, lets see after 10 games Cousins is sharp enough and will act. It was always going to be a step up

your keeper was poor, as were your 2 full backs, charles wasnt great either, none of them could hardly hoof the ball past the half way line! right winger hardly had a touch and we really got to o'brien in the 2nd half, not one pass to his own players hardly! our 2 central midfielders dominated, didnt give murphy or fortune any time on the ball! ye had nothing up front, our lads won every header, every second ball, every tackle!
    was o'flynn injured or something?

Cousins got most things wrong IMO.
Keeper, get rid of him end of story. If we are without Rogers till July we are screwed. Goughy has to come back. Did anyone see him play before he was signed?
Reilly wasn't good enough for 1st division, dropped for end of last season.
Shouldn't have been given a contract never mind a starting place. All O'Briens best games last season were when O'Donnell was behind him and could pass the ball to his feet. O'Reilly can't keep the ball on the pitch. McKenna or Clery would be better at least they can defend. Have to get a left full, none in the squad!
Wes Charles should not be captain. Beaten several times in the air by Raf. FFS he at least a foot taller than him but too lazy. At fault for first goal had a chance to clear it but didn't. Then tried to blame all around him, the only time he opened his mouth all night. Needs a rocket up his ass. Will be lucky to hold on to his place next week.
Cookie wasn't in the game at all.
The substitutions were awful. Murphy was playing better than Lester at that stage. Lester was dead on his feet could'nt pass the ball. Not fit enough, what was he doing for pre season? James is not a full back but was still miles better than O'Reilly. Lester & O'Reilly should have been taken off.
Full time set up, full time wages, expected a lot more.
Could be seriously embarrassed on TV in Cork next week.
Hopefully this will be a wake up call. Reggie saved them from a bigger hammering, from a Sligo team that will be mid table at best.
It's going to be a long season.
