I see the club website ...
http://www.shamrockrovers.ie/
has been redesigned for the new season.
Looks quiet well I think.
What do you other non-biased people think?

Looks Well (I feel dirty now have to go and wash now for a few hours)
As an un-biased person I would say that http://www.dundalkfc.com is better.
In fairness holidaysong its pretty good and this should be the minimum standard of eircom league websites. The shop part is very good lots of stuff on it and should bring in a few quid for the club.

Just from a pure design point of view (ie excluding content) I think there are just eight club websites that look good: Bohs, Cork, Derry, Drogheda, Galway, Longford, Dundalk and Kilkenny. There perhaps should be some help from the fai on this, as part of the new policy to tart up the game here.
it easily has some of the best content etc, but red backgrounds always look bad and make for an awful contrast to read from. Look around the interweb and and most other clubs that play in red have gone for a simple white background.
At the moment it looks like some clubs are doing it themselves, hand in hand with a copy of 'web design for dummies'.
I was more thinking of giving them the number of a decent web designer. Some of the clubs have been seriously ripped off if they've paid for these sites.
Just look at cobh's site, finn harps or ucd
the middle column is far too wide, its not exactly easy on the eye. the green is also too strong and i'd have toned it down or kept the majority of the site white with just a few touches of green.

Regarding the Shels site, seeing as I wasn't sure if the club was going to be around, I stalled on an upgrade. I put my time into extratime and once that is up and running, I will revisit the Shebourne one are get it back to challenging for the top spot.
