Bluetonic, thanks for pointing that out. Look I'm not interested in getting bogged down with exact figures. My point is that in a stadium with a soccer capacity approximately double that of Lansdowne (what 60-odd thousand compared to 35ish) , the fact the FAI cant accomodate their loyal fans in a similar manner to the last couple of decades is beyond comprehension. If it was the same capacity as Lansdowne I would still be questioning it.
yes i got mine lower cusack section 302 row d seats start at 2 i beleive. 4 of the seats are together i beleive.....well thats how the mammy read it out over the phone anyhow!!!Did anyone on this site get decent Hogan/Cusack tickets i.e lwr tier centre and together??
I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
Mine arrived today, upper Davin and both together.
No tickets here still.
Im well used to poor ticket services from the lfc ticket office but as the FAI only has a handful of games to deal with, I expect better. FYI liverpool tickets are actually printed and sent from Holland.
Thats shocking about seats being split. Myself and 2 mates of mine have sat together at Ireland games for the last 8 years, (every game including friendlies) and i will be disgusted if
a - we are not seated together.
b - if we are stuck in a corner block.
It is disgraceful that loyal fans have to sit apart or get poor seats and also charging that lad €70 a pop for seats outside the perimeter of the pitch is a joke.
I am actually checking with a mate of mine who usually gets complimentary seats from eircom if he has received tickets and where they will be located. They used to be in the east lower centre.
This will lead to chaos - people swapping seats etc. Best to get in early.![]()
I'd love to know what kind of system they useApplication form asks for 3 tickets in a certain stand, the FAI randomly assign 3 seats in the same section (of a different stand probably!) and send them back to the applicant?
If you were getting a ticket for someone you didn't like and asked not to sit next to him they'd probably tell you it was too difficult to arrange.![]()

I was going to say that its unbelievable that the FAI have managed to split up blockbookers in a stadium that has almost twice as many seats as Lansdowne, but unfortunately its almost predictable at this stage.
Maybe if the powers that be in Merrion Sq spent more time doing the bread and butter of their jobs rather than trying to persecute Irish football fans this kind of fcuk up wouldn't happen.
Mine actually arrived today, Block 320, row Y. Looking at the stadium map, I think that was as good as I was going to get in the Davin Lower. All 3 are together, thankfully.
I just cant understand how they could manage to split up loads of block bookers. Is it not possible to manage it that seats come together.
The reason I know so much about the seating in Croke Park is because the tickets for GAA games there come to our house at home and I help distribute them. There has never been an issue with the club getting separate tickets. If we got say 100 tickets, they would be in groups of 5/10 together in a row. So I cant see how the FAI couldnt use the GAA template of allocating tickets. Has the same problem happened in the rugby does anyone know?
Still nothing by DHL yet, hope they come tomorrow at work or I'll be camping out at work like a right ar$e on a Saturday morning!![]()
Green Tribe - how come you recieve your tickets by DHL, do you have to choose it or pay extra for it? I havent recieved anything yet (i am not panicing just yet as i usually get tickets/letter later) but if i had the choice of DHL i would probably pay extra for it.
I am relying on An Post and Royal Mail .
Cos I'm special!Only kidding, I dunno, I said to them cos I am in Glasgow will they arrive in time before i travel over for the game and they said on monday that they will be DHL'd over the next 2 days, I'm praying for tomorrow
I did not ask for DHL so they better not charge me for it!
Maybe just cos I am "overseas" so to speak and they are not coming by land by postman pat.
Ours arrived in Belfast this morning - normal post.
lower Cusack, section 308
Happy enough with that, pretty close to half way line.
