Sorry for the confusion friday night lads, thanks to a last dash run to a printers, aided by redron's computer knowledge we got it out at the last minute. With that in mind, any feedback lads? What worked, what didn't etc, what could be changed for the next issue?
Agreed. Most fanzines run no more often than every second home game.
You can't spell failure without FAI
was this the crazy 37s fanzine?
if so i thought it was very poor for 2 euro. one well written article and that was it. the cover was poor, the photos were average and the layout was very basic - too much white page.
maybe you should check out some music fanzines for some inspiration and ideas?
i believe one of ye involved in its production is in cork? then make your way into plugd records on washington street and purchase unfit for consumption zine.
you gowl!
i wasnt there last week BUT if i go and get it this week can i get my 2 euro back if its crap?
Ebay reports bidding as high as E42.54 for the one off signed copy.
how about "blues banter"?? it is a bit catchy!!
Right lads as declan hide said, there wasn't enough articles in the last fanzine, so I'm gonna need to ask for volunteers for this one. I'm looking for one 1,000 word main article, and two 500 ones if any of ye are interested.
As for your other issues declan, well aside from the SC plumping for better camera equipment for me, and the printers magicing up a solution to not lowering the resolution of each photo then they are gonna stay the same. I'll take the too much white page into account, although I don't want to end up with too busy pages. As for music zines, well typically they are more graphics orientated than football ones, its just the nature of that beast, and plus they have a lot more to write about in theirs than the goings on of a First Division Irish club, so I'm more into looking at other football fanzines for ideas than music ones, but I'll check out Unfit all the same.
