That figure represents paying customers only so it doesnt include season/concession ticket holders. There was another 150-200 standing around.

    Approx 1400 there.

I thought that was a 'large' crowd for us

Rain had everyone in the stand so crowd would have looked better from there anyway about 200 in the stand and twenty outside along the perimeter.

Are freebies included in official attendances?

I heard during the week that the GAA gave out 15,000 free tickets for last weekends Railway Cup (Interprovincial Finals) but the official attendance was 10,000.

GAA attendances give the figure that actually turned up (no. of tickets scanned at turnstiles). The 55,000 Cyprus game seems to show that the FAI are now following the policy (seeing as tickets sold should have been closer to the Germany attendance and there were quite a few no-shows). The old Lansdowne road figures, where the attendance was nearly always exactly 34,000 people showed that the FAI didn't care too much about announcing the correct number.

For LOI attendances, who knows Its hard to know what should be included in the official figures when the FAI don't release them. IMO, the attendance figure should cover everyone who actually attended the game (including freebies but not including season ticket holders who didn't go).

Everybody who enters the ground should be included in the attendence figure whether they had a free ticket or not.

Haven't asked about the attendance yet but my guess would be around 2500.

Radio reports had the attendance at 1800 for Cobh, their highest attendance all season We were disappointed with our attendance.

There is close to 1500 heading to Kilkenny. (well there was before friday, id say the majority still heading)

Update after the weekend. (2) is a game in the second series of matches. Figures in brackets are averages in previous seasons.

    PREMIER DIVISION
    Bohs - 2,000 (2006 - 1,463; 2005 - 1,976; 2004 - 2,340) (awaiting official figure from UCD 2; missing Longford)
    Bray - 1,200 (1,027; 1,550; 818 FD)
    Cork - 2,925 (2,941; 3,644; 4,033) (missing St Pat's 2)
    Derry - 2,723 (3,229; 2,698; 1,672) (missing Bohs 2, Longford, Rovers 2 and Waterford)
    Drogheda - 1,850 (1,751; 1,682; 1,554) (missing Bray 2 and Sligo 2)
    Galway - 2,193 (1,148 FD; 566 FD; 571 FD)
    Longford - 825 (681; 1,004; 1,131) (missing Bray 2 and Waterford 2)
    Pat's - 1,892 (1,342; 1,599; 1,882)
    Rovers - 1,819 (1,089 FD; 1,539; 1,349)
    Sligo - 1,513 (1,806; 1,794 FD; 781 FD) (missing Cork 2, Pat's 2 and Waterford 2)
    UCD - 663 (546; 653; 306 FD)
    Waterford - 1,181 (915; 1,513; 1,753)

    FIRST DIVISION
    Athlone - 626 (421; 316; 291)
    Cobh - 674 (368; 403; 240) (missing Wexford 2)
    Dundalk - 1,441 (1,078; 474; 591)
    Harps - 1,164 (428; 1,347 PD; 1,106)
    Kildare - 243 (265; 186; 298)
    Kilkenny - 139 (122; 185; 110) (missing Kildare 2, Monaghan (both) and Wexford 2)
    Limerick - 678 (364; 669; 188) (missing Monaghan 2)
    Monaghan - 310 (204; 183; 182) (missing Cobh 2, Kildare 2, Kilkenny 2, Shels 2 and Wexford 2)
    Shels - 976 (1,690 PD; 1,949 PD; 2,158 PD) (missing Cobh 2, Harps 2, Kildare 2 and Kilkenny 2)
    Wexford - 819 (n/a) (missing Dundalk 2)

    Premier Division average - 1,698 (1,535; 1,759; 1,853)
    First Division average - 727 (570; 520; 512)

    Overall average - 1,240 (1,070; 1,195; 1,218)

FD is an average crowd in the First Division; PD is an average crowd in the Premier Division. I've only put that in where the attendances was when the club was in a different one to their current division.

    Recent missing games -
    Bohs v UCD
    Bohs v Longford
    Derry v Rovers
    Drogheda v Bray
    Sligo v Cork
    Sligo v Waterford
    Kilkenny v Wexford
    Shels v Cobh
    Wexford v Dundalk

There's not great support for Cobh at all. Harps would be a better addition to the Premier crowds-wise than Cobh would be.

Derry v Rovers attendence was pathetic. I'd guess between 1,200 and 1,400.

60 Rovers, 30 in the second half......

No idea, presume the missing 30 were in the pub.

If I'd not had the car I'd have joined then. Meangingless end of season fixture.
