Well lads may I be the first non Lim to welcome your new team into the league (as long as ye finish at least 1 place behind us) How many do ye expect will travel to se the season kickoff at the Cross.

Rough Guess here but maybe 30
I expect a huge turn out for our opening home game. The left section of the stand will make plenty of noise to keep everyone entertained.
Lads, will ye ever stop quoting the only1. If someone has an ignore set up (e.g. for the only1) and you keep quoting that poster (e.g. the only1) then its harder to avoid that poster (e.g. the only1).
Life is much sweeter when you leanr to love your ignore settings.

No life is sweeter when you look at the rantings of the only 1 and just be glad that a. he'll never get a girlfriend and thus b. reproduce.
Seriously I actually look forward to his little bitter outbursts. This man is funnier than anything on telly.
So the only 1 whats your latest scoop from Bizzaro Land?
I'm here to chew gum and kick ass. And I'm all out of gum!
Can't comment on last season but the year before there was something like 3000 (allegedly - I didn't actually count them) at the first home game, but this figure dropped and dropped as the weeks went by, the last couple of games i was at there was barely 50 people there. There was very good attendances at the first few weeks though, before the disillusionment set in.
To keep the crowds coming consistently we obviusly need good results or at least good performances, but I dont think its realistic to expect that from this season as a lot of our best players are gone. I think something like a 6th place finish would be a great achievement this year given where we're starting from.
Now that I think of it, one of those last games with about 50 people was one of the most memorable - there was 4 lads in particular behind the goals singing and chanting the whole way through, everytime we conceded thay came back with "we're gonna win 4-1.." then "we're gonna win 4-2..." and so on - brilliant ! Never before came away from a hammering with such a big cheesy grin across my face If those lads turn up most games we wont need the big crowds!
thats the problem with limerick fans in this city. the first home game gets a good atttendance and if they lose it goes down and down. limerick fans will not support a team who r not going for promotion or near the top and it will always b that way.
although if the prices of entry r fair a good crowd may still turn out as most of the hassel the last 2 years was with danny drews high entry few
