    Cork City 1-0 Cobh Ramblers
Cork City enjoyed a 1-0 win over neighbours Cobh Ramblers in a friendly played out in somewhat changeable weather in Bishopstown this afternoon. City's line-up showed one change from the side that drew 0-0 with Dungannon Swifts last Monday with Sean Kelly dropping back from the right wing to replace Brian O'Callaghan at centre half with Admir Softic coming in on the right for Kelly.

After a somewhat lacklustre first half, Mark McNulty replaced Mick Devine in goal, while Neal Horgan came in for Admir Softic, a move which saw Cillian Lordan pushed up to the right wing. City began the second half brightly with Denis Behan having the home side's first serious effort on target as his header from the impressive Liam Kearney's cross flashed just past the upright. Behan then had a rather tame effort from 30 yards easily saved by the keeper.

The Behan-Kearney combination struck again minutes later as, after seeing his initial corner cleared, Kearney swung the ball back in to the back post where Behan was waiting unmarked to apply a low left footed finish from close range. Behan again looked dangerous as his volley from the edge of the box was fumbled by the goalkeeper, who gathered before anyone could capitalise.

The major talking point of the remainder of the game was the first appearance of Colin Healy in City colours as he replaced Colin O'Brien in midfield, showing some neat touches on his debut for the Rebel Army. City continued to probe for openings for the remainder of the game, but had to be content with Behan's goal which saw them secure a 1-0 win.
