    Where will we finish?

Any chance a mod can change this to a poll.

    Team ..........P .W .D L F/A ..Pts.
    Bohemians ....21 13 7 1 41/21 .46
    Shelbourne... 21 12 3 6 38/22. 39
    Cork City.... 21 10 5 6 33/27. 35
    Shamrock Rove 20 8 5 7 30/23 ..29
    St Patricks . 21 6 8 7 24/28 ..25
    Longford Town 21 5 10 6 18/23. 25
    Derry City... 21 6 6 9 24/29 ..23
    Drogheda Utd .21 6 4 11 22/36. 22
    UCD ..........21 4 7 10 18/25 .19
    Bray Wanderer 21 4 7 10 27/40 .19

We are now 6 points ahead of Shams with a game more played and we have yet to play them at home.

We have yet to play Longford, Bohs and Pats away.
We have yet to play Bray, Shams and UCD at home.

If we get 9 points at home we will finish third. If we get a single point away, Ill be very surprised.

Unfortunatley, i think we will finish fourth with Shams pipping us on goal difference.

Just what i was going to say. We will probably need to beat rovers to keep third place. If they get a draw or win we could be in trouble.

I think we'll have an unexpected lose at home before the end (we seem to be getting closer & close to losing at home) & will possibly get a flukey away win as well somewhere...

Saying the inter floppo cupo is Europe is like saying pre-season friendlies are europe.

if it sounds smells and tastes like europe.. and you have to travel 3 days to get there..then chances are it is Europe

    Deffo 3rd, I'd say.
Would it be disloyal of me to say that I would prefer to finish 4th and not get into the inter-toto?
The only good thing I'd see happening if we get 3rd is
we get a very kind draw, i.e., someone from Scotland, Wales, beat them and then get some premiersh*t club which has loads of "fans" in Cork and we'd get a decent payday out of it.
Still, I'd prefer 4th at this stage.

Of course we could go on a run win our next 18 points and Bohs and $hels not win a game for the rest of the season and then we'd be champs ! Simple really !!

Indeed, hasn't the standard been raised slightly by the likes of Newcastle and Fulham being involved?
Maybe we'll get an away trip to Elland Road the way Leeds are going.

The problem, as I see it, with the inter-toto is if you get drawn against, say, a Latvian, Albanian, Estonian, etc.etc. team. It's a long and expensive trip away and not much of a crowd puller at home, so it's easy for the club to make a loss which is the last thing any el club needs.
Now, as I already said, if we drew a Welsh or Scottish team in the first round, beat them and got someone like Spurs, for instance, in the next round, they would draw a big crowd to the cross and then it would be worthwhile probably.

Another good thing about the inter two bob cup is that it will be in the middle of our season while it will be really early for most other countries. I think Irish teams will do much better in Europe next year because of this.

Ok, after last night, I hope we finish outside the top 3.
No Europe surely means no Murphy.

    hopefully

i noticed that theres no seeding in that competition, so with the right draw you could go far.
