According to a local newspaper, Galway First, Galway United are trying to sign Stan Collymore....

You'd wonder what he could offer though? He might bring a few through the gate alright but would it match the wages he'd ask for? Personally i'd prefer eL clubs stayed away from these guys.

Apparently not.
I heard that he was going to sign for Dundalk originally until he saw a helicopter shot of Galway's facilities with 'Right Here, Right Now' playing in the background.

Gazza's agent was in contact with City a year or two ago looking to play with the club. Maybe its rumour alright but its not that unbelievable.
