Anyone remember this lad?

Apparently he was with Otelul Galati when they beat Juve in the 1988/89 UEFA Cup (lost 5-0 in the second leg though) and subsequently played for Limerick. He still lives there - he's a journalist, and his daughter was involved in a visa controversy a year or two ago according to a google search.

He won one of the sections at the Bunratty Chess Festival at the weekend and I heard about his exploits. Anyone know anything else?

after Limerick FC, Gabriel went to St.Michael's in Tipperary then with Pike Rovers .Now coaching Under 14 the Parkville Team and played for Parkville two years ago .
Got the UEFA licence with FAI, and still covering CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and UEFA Cup matches with Steaua Bucharest most.
