There are many problems with Delaney. One of which is that the head of the Football Association of Ireland claims to be a Man United supporter, rather than the club that brought him into football..i..e Waterford United. Second of which is what is his driving force? What motivates him? He has risen through the ranks in a very Macchiavellian manner, shafting others right left and centre in a grab for power, and getting even with people in Merrion Square for what happened to his Pa. He has done one or two good things but he doesn't inspire confidence . If it was up to me I'd ask the IRFU to run soccer as well while they are at it

Oh God no. Our very own Teflon CEO. But no harm keeping the media spotlight on him.

    From todays (Tuesday) Irish Independent.

A timid draw or a disappointing defeat, however, and the fans could be drumming up a very different kind similar to the atmosphere created by those hardy souls who travelled to San Marino last month and called for the head of FAI chief executive John Delaney for the appointment of Staunton.

It's hardly a well kept secret that there are punters who are attending Saturday's match that will do so with 'Delaney Out' banners just in case things take a turn for the worse
