Wonder what the PFAI make of all of this?
Has the debts to former players being cleared?
Where the PFAIs talk of picketlines now?

Sure its not like Keely to lead a line of players across a picket into Tolka!

Technically, is it a contract re-signing rather than a new player coming in?
Bracken is a great propect think he could be the future for any potential Shels ture around. Good man to try stable the ship even if it looks like the Titanic.
Apparantly we've offered them Mark O Brien and Lurch on loan. Don't know how true it is. Would have thought that unless we've signed another centre half we'd be needing lurch. They're welcome to Mr. invisible though. Nice to see we're able to help out our neigbours in their time of need!![]()

All of this has happened before. All of it will happen again.
On the subject of loans, I'm totally against Derry City loaning players to Shels until Ollie Byrne is proven to be completely uninvolved in the running of the club, which AFAIK is fairly unclear at this stage.
On its clear that new administration is in place, I'd be happy to help Shels in their time of need.
Well then he's obviously got approval.
FFS its not helping Shels, its getting your players experience at a alevel above u21s. I have no problem with Pats sending players to anybody once it helps the players

I'm shocked Shels have a budget of 9k Per Week. It's actually ridiculous. You would think they would try to be feasible after what happened?
It'll be fascinating to see how their quickly-cobbled-together motley squad gets on under Dermo.
He done well with us in our first season with a brand new squad. Although he did run us into the ground financially before running off to Derry. Who didn't fall for the guy I hear....
Exacty, look at the players he brought into Kildare. He's a chequebook manager. His teams play rubbish football (including DC last year), even when they have good players. He does get his players to play for him though, I'll give him that much. With a 9k a week budget he will be a flop if he doesn't walk the first division.
Shels new heroes are - Brian Gartland, Wayne Byrne (Bray W) and John Brophy, Aaran McNiffe, Ciaran Harte (UCD).
Are these loan signings ?
Gartland and Byrne are both very good young players.
gartland from Lomgford? The ex pats player?

No it's Brian Gartland from Bray, with our U21's last season.

Both look like they could be perm. deals ? I'd be dissapointed if Bray let 2 young talents like these go....
Philly, Keely didn't run Kildare County's finances into the ground and whoever told you that is wrong. Sure he had a lot more money than John Ryan does at the moment but if he stays within a budget that has he agreed with the board, how does that mean he ruining the clubs finances? It's up to the board to decide the budget and as long as the manager stays within that, any financial problems are then the board's fault. It's very easy to blame Keely but if Shels are offering him a 9k weekly budget, as a manager, he is hardly to going to say he doesn't need all that money is he?
