With all due respect Pete most people travel to the uk to watch PL teams play and the standard of football is a few levels above EL football. EL football is probably somewhere along the lines of League 1.

pineapple stu, the hardcore fans do travel to non-attractive fixtures. I met at least half a dozen irish reds at Birmingham away in the Carling Cup last year, which was a midweek away game. People went to places like Bradford away where there is only 1 male toilet in the away end, the dell where the view was shocking and would still eat you hand for a ticket for the game at goodison even though 75% of the seats in the away are restricted view and the charge £35 or £37 quid.

    .
I don't really want to get into discussion on the quality of SPL football but how can you explain people travelling to scotland when the football isn't much above the LOI.

I also think a lot of trips to the UK are basically weekend holidays. Maybe Dublin clubs can market themselves to Donegal natives looking for short break?

No need we can both agree that the SPL is on a par with the EL, which is above the standard or the league up north and the welsh league.

This argument of getting the Poles involved has been bandied around so long and it's ridiculous

Their own league is dying on its ar$e lads

Now say even if you do get a group of Poles who are into football. What if some followed Wisla Krakow, some Legia, some Widew Lodz........They tend to be quite passionate about these things. There isn't the happy, clappy athmosphere among their clubs that you get with so many of the teams in this league

Do you honestly think they're going to bother their ar$e uniteing under the banner of Limerick or Cork or whoever because they sign some journeyman who happens to be a Slav

    Poll

Facilities and standard of football are both very important the game.

With that in mind, I disagree with the poll.
