Well thats his decision so best of luck to him.
Ryan O'Leary who is the son of Pierse O'Leary and nephew of Irish International legend David O'Leary has opted to play for the country of his birth, Scotland. He was called up to the irish U21 squad for the madeira tournament last week.
A brave if not unusual decision on his part.

Why would you think it's a brave decision? Seems a normal enough decision unless there is a scenario where you have moans from a few fearful Scottish fans about sons of settlers taking away football squad positions from 20th generation true blue Scots.
If he's anything like his dad was as a player the Scots are welcome to him, Pierce was one of the worst players I've ever seen in a green shirt.
Good luck to you Ryan
...you treacherous turn coat crossdresser!!!
I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Best of luck -and besides I think we've had the better share of swappsies with Scotland.

quite similar to the situation with Alex Bruce, opting to play for another country from his dad. Cant think of any other cases of this, though i am sure there are.
Who did Steve Bruce play for.
