If you look at their last league game Aberdeens starting team against Bohs was probably half first team & half first team bench. I could not see any players who not in their match day squad listed.

Bohs have been creating chances for a couple of season now & will continue to miss them. If relying on Fenn to be clinical then Bohs fans will be disappointed as he will always look to pass ahead of shooting.

0-0 against SPL is ok i supposed but we already know how crap that league is.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that the SPL was nothing more than Glasgow Celtic but, there is in fact 11 other teams in the league. Look it up if you don't believe me.

They played near enough their full team. They've arguably the best centre half excluding Celtic though and he didn't play. This was a break to Dublin for the lads though, you can't read anything into it.

Exactly, I reckon anyone of Cork, Derry, Bohs or Drogheda could probably play their way into making the top six split over there

Aberdeen would almost certainly win the Eircom league though imo. Celtic, Rangers are one league. Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen are another league. The rest are poor so one of the teams above should easily make the top 6.

I don't think they would to be honest.

I've seen plenty of friendly and some competitive games between outside the top in Scotland and Dublin teams.
The Scottish teams have never impressed!

I think this thread is a bit over the top tbh. It was a friendly game with some promising performances that indicate that we will have a decent season all going well. Very hard to judge much else. Neither side showed their full hand IMO. Our season will rely very much on Crowe rediscovering some of his old form and Fenn doing the job that Keego did alongside the ginger one in 2003. Personally I feel we have avery strong first eleven but we lack strength in depth. Third would be a reasonable expectation but is by no means a forgone conclusion.
As for the Sligo lads STILL whinging about Connor, its pretty sad. We're not stupid, we know Connor has ambitions to go to England at some stage. If we wanted a manager with no ambition we could have got Alan Mathews, but we didn't. All the best managers are ambitious. If you look at the most successful managers of the decade, most would jump at the chance of managing in the UK. Are Derry fans whining about SK's move to Dunfermiline? Roddy, double winner with Bohs, Collins also tried his hand abroad. Meanwhile Nutsy Fenlon took a big step up from Shels to manage a top UK side

This thread is completely over the top! It sounds like Peadar is on drugs (nothing new there, some might say)

I hope you've never been dumped by a woman. You'd probably be following her new man around telling him "it'll all end in tears!"
Tell you what SB, want to put your money where your mouth is?
50 quid says Connor sees out the season as Bohs manager.

Another possible acquisition by Bohs from our Feeder Club

Crowe was fabulous last season. No rediscovering to be done. Though admittedly he wont get the same service as last season. And this thread is hilariously over the top. Though the season is probably going to be the most interesting in recent memory. For a variety of reasons!

You could probably include Celtic and Rangers in that. Hibs are very good side, their central defence is a bit dodgy though. They're the one team that go to Celtic Park and play football, excellent football.

Liam Burns is one of the best defenders in the league and to say he wont be important to Bohs season is stupid.
Bohs will come out of the blocks flying but dont know wheter they will be able to maintain it.
To the other Sligo fans, stop posting sh!te about Sean and Bohs ffs...it makes ye look really pathetic.

Surely you lot will be looking revenge for last season. Therefore this is a bigger game for you. Simple really.

Well done on the draw the other night. Another moral victory. Reminds me of when Bohs beat Spurs and I had to listen to drunken gypo mates banging on about how the league was as good as over. How did Bohs get on that year?
