Charity Cycle (Autism) / League of Ireland Grounds

    Hi All,
I know I emailed and PM some of you already but just wanted to post here
    too if thats Ok.

A member of the Independent Athlone Town Supporters Club,
Ger Tiernan, his brother John and former Athlone Town player Tommy Hewitt
are planning a charity cycle to raise money for kids with Autism.

They plan to visit every eircom League ground, starting in the Brandywell on
a Saturday (dates tbc) and finishing back in Athlone the following Saturday.
This means cycling 954 miles in 8 days.

If possible, could some of your supporters be available to meet and greet
them at each stadium as they plan on taking pictures of each stop off.
Also any help with fundraising would be appreciated ... as I'm sure would
a nice warm cup of tea on their arrival :-)

If you will be in a position to help out in any way, or would like more
information on the lads plans/arrival dates, times etc, can you contact
    Gerard either by phone: 087 215 5454 or email : tiernangerard@hotmail.com

Any help you can offer is much appreciated.
    Thanks.

(I dont have any of the ino myself yet, Ger just asked if I could
    contact some eL supporters)

    Update

    Hi All,

I was just chatting to Gerard and the Autism Life Cycle will take
place from 23rd June untill 30th June.

I'm not sure what dates they plan to be in each stadium but as
soon as I get a timetable I'll post it here.

Also, if anyone wants to get in contact with the lads directly,
    please email : tiernangerard@hotmail.com

Thanks to all who have replied to earlier emails/pms and given
    their support so far.

Excellent stuff. Actually, Tommy Hewitt who played for the ATFC Legends
on Saturday in Mels is one of the lads doing the cycle.

Does that mean that they wont be here for our game against Limerick? Will have to ring Ger & re-arrange stuff in club then.

They'll be at Showgies on Saturday then? Should have arranged something with club to do a presentation at half time.

They were meant to be there for our game against Limerick and had a few things organised for them. Oh well.

Having witnessed Mons the other night, they then decided they wanted to see some proper football.

Have you a rough ETA of when you'll be in Belfield on Thursday? I'll probably be working but one or two of the lads might pop down.
