Logo's alright. Looks like designed so any new sponsor logo can be added at the top
We had the 'Bass League of Ireland' in 1975/76, maybe the lge's first ever sponsor ?? i only remember this name as there is a photo in oriel, jim mclaughlin with 'the bass lge trophy'
cant recall ever hearing a sponsored name before this - anyone ?
ps the KFC lge in 81/82 was the infamous 4 pts for an away win, 3 for home win, 2 for home draw and 1 for an away draw.
Highest ever points total for that years winners.
Logo's alright. Looks like designed so any new sponsor logo can be added at the top

Would it not have made sense to have the Grey bit white? Would have made the tricolour then!
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
I like it.
Echo the point concerning the ordinary fan getting the patches for shirts
- the only way we got them before is by getting a hold of a player's jersey (which I have done from last season)
Kom Igen, FCK...
The orange/ grey colours are the new eircom corporate colours. Think it looks ok. I always call it the League of Ireland too.
All you zombies tweet tweet tweet.
Pat Grace was chairman of Limerick City back in the days that they were always challenging for a European spot and they were getting cowds of 4,000 on a regular basis (in the pre-Munster Rugby hype days).
He brought KFC to Ireland in the 70's/80's and then bailed out and opened his own self branded chain of fast food outlets all over Ireland* called Pat Grace's Famous Fried Chicken. His company sponsored Limerick City and the whole League. I often wondered why it was called "Famous" fried chicken? I'd never heard of it and it never made the front pago of the Sun.
I have to be careful as to how describe him. Let's just say he reminds me of Ollie Byrne!!! And that's not for being tall, dark and handsome either.
*there was a branch in Galway so that gave it 'nationwide' status.
FOOTNOTE: In the mid 1980's, the FAI Cup was sponsored by Bulmers. What doed that tell us about the advancement of modern society when the Cup was sponsored by a cider company and the league was sponsored by a fried chicken company.?
Nobody knows us, we don't care
Lucky we didn't have league patches on the shirts in those days.

- Pat Grace, of Pat Grace's Famous Fried Chicken, has been declared bankrupt. He told the High Court that the eighteen restaurants in the chain are owned by a company in which his wife is the principal shareholder.
So famous, Ive never heard of it either!
