good old Liverpool supporters, never fail to get their backs up at the slightest insult to their club. Are you seriously suggesting that Liverpool are a better attacking team than Barcelona? Really? As in on the ground, pass and move football? Are you suggesting that getting 'stuck in' goes against my point about free flowing football? Because if you are than you're a complete fool who hasn't a clue about football.
Oh yeah forgot that 'Mr. Arsenal' Liam Brady, the man who constantly has a go at Ronaldo, Rooney and Ferguson, Eamon Dunphy, and John Giles, who has never shown any particular liking for Man Utd are all 'Man Ure Lovers'.sort your arguments out before you bother posting would you

For the last bleedin' time - a 19-year-old kid played better last night than the hyped-up English midfielders like Gerrard and Lamaprd ever do. The fact that Liverpool fans feel the need to defend their hero against one game by a kid says it all.
Anyway, as Dodge points out Fabregas is the best midfielder in the Premiership. But he doesn't need the hype of the media and the paranoia of his club's fans to make that so.
TBH I'd even rate Carrick higher than Gerrard. At least he can pass the ball.

I feel so silly, I thought you were trying to make some kind of a point, then you mentioned Carrick. I now realise you're on a pi55 take.
Afraid not la, Carrick's a genuinely better player. Liverpool fans tend to mistake being from Liverpool and speaking with a Scouse accent with being a good player.
Jamie Carragher is another fine example of a pish poor player lauded by Liverpool fans. And all because Liverpool fans from Glenegeary and Glasnevin think he's "one of us la".![]()

The opta stats will diagree with you there, but then what are facts in that face of your opninon.
Carragher's a great example of a limited player who gets the absolute maximum out of his talent. The likes of Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard would do well to have a look at what Carragher has achieved. IMO only Woodgate is abetter English centre half

He's on a wind up...first Gerrard, then Carrick and now moving onto Carragher. I'd almost miss NY Hoop's attempts by comparison.

You're not wrong. Any Irish person that refers to an english club as "we" or "us" cannot be taken seriously. Because the media say Gerrard is world class they think he is. Sure the stupid paddies only "support" liverpool because everyone else does anyway![]()
Gerrard scores some great goals from distance and without him his average team mates would be lost. That's not world class no matter what sky sports tell you.

a subject close to my heart this
my line would simply be this
Stephen Hunt - the best player in the premiership in my view. I don't care what anyone else thinks - this lad has the lot!
Ronaldo - Shammer - people who say he's the greatest are either kids (who dont know no better or just simpletons - they will learn in time to differentiate between a shammer and a true diamond if they're kids)
Lampard - the best English Midfielder by far
Gerrard - cracking eye for a shot, not a lot going on between the ears
Barca - rubbish this season and Liverpool should have hammered them if they didnt go all Houlier in the second half
the ACTIM stats have Tevez as minus something - whatever you think about his performances for west ham he's not teh worst in the prem by any means
they are a useful guide but a guide and no more
Stats!! The last refuge of the desperate.
Dodge, Terry is the best English centre-half by far. Woodgate's the best ball-playing centre-half alright. Curtis Davies will outshine the lot of them in a few years.
