There maybe be something evolutionary about man's need for religions. Perhaps it bonds people together and ensure optimum chances for large scale reproduction. More partners etc.
You have do to wonder as humans are always creating religions. Communinism/Socialism was a religion as much as the Catholic Church - Man-made Global Warming is a new religion and like Communism/Socialism is based on false mythology and requires blind faith and demented fanatics to keep it going. There only reason why humans would be drawn to deeply irrational concepts devoid of positive proof such as Socialism and Man Made Global warming has to be evolutionary. ie; get them into groups so they can breed.
Please refer to Gavin Zac's post above for the difference between a religion and adherance to something like Communism.
The rest of your post shows you don't deserve to be taken seriously. If you think man made global warming is devoid of proof you've got your head in the sand. As for your comments on Socialism, theres a rather long thread on it here you are required to read the entire thing before making any comments on the subject!
As for what you say about a genetic need for religions, that is partially true. Religions are a byproduct of our evolutuion as social animals.

Bohs Partisean, there is no proof at all that global warming is man made. None. You cannot prove this to be true and neither can any scientist on this planet. It's just a very, VERY loose theory, that when all the facts are looked at OBJECTIVELY does not even get off the ground, let along stand up.
There is no consensus on the issue other than the usual rent-an-apocalyse shower (remember: SARS, New Ice Age, Killer Bees, Ozone Hole, etc..etc..etc..), 2,000 UN non-science parasites spoofing, and people who think a fictional movie made by a Deep South tobacco plantation owner (who's family got wealth from slaves) must be somehow real as he slows down when talking to the camera like we are all morons. Al Gore is a crazy aristocrat wacko who is talking absolute and complete ****** in his "woooooooooo spooky dudes..." movie.
This Man Made Global Warming bull**** is all great news for the commies/socialists as they can attack the West/Capitalism/USA from this kooky new angle, as most of them still cannot understand why everybody ran West when the Berlin Wall came down. They just cannot deal with the fact that this Commie/Pinko stuff does not work and never will.
There is far more proof that the sun is causing the rise in earth temps. There is even no proof we "getting hotter" - we could just as much be returning to normal mean temp - but nobody even knows what the mean temp should be in the first place. That's how "solid" climate science is - ie; it's not.
Mars, Venus and the Moon are all heating up as well. So the sun is a much more likely culprit than your evil US/Capitalists.
As for your other points/deities. Marx and Ingles were prophets. James Connolly and Larkin were diclipes. Communisim/Socialism had it all from holy texts, sacred icons, religious shrines, commandments, fanatics, missionaries and so on. Looks like someone watched a Channel 4 documentary recently. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not going to list the mountain of findings on global warming being accelerated by man (note not a man made product), but I will point out that even GEORGE W BUSH has admitted that man has had an adverse effect on global warming. Now think about it, if George W can admit he was wrong can't we all.....especially you?
