If Shels are not relegated then the FAI should be let known how we all feel.
How about this as a protest.
If your team is playing away to Shels then go to the game but refuse to enter the ground. It might hurt that you're team is playing inside and you're outside but with the team that Shels will have it shouldnt really matter.
Staying outside the ground will hurt Ollie and show the FAI and the public that we dont agree with them.
Boycott Tolka!!

Structured debt (eg. a loan with a schedule for repayments) is perfectly acceptable in normal business practice, within certain limits (based on the assets or turnover of the business). This would be accounted for in the audited accounts. This is within the scope of the Club Licensing Criteria (read the manual -- it's on the FAI website).

What would be a breach of the Licensing Criteria would be if unstructured debts (eg. unpaid bills (after 90 days, I think)) were misrepresented in the books as structured debt. It's easy turning an unstructured debt into a structured debt: just negotiate a schedule of payments and/or penalties (late payment fees or interest) with your creditor.

This is the big difference between Shels and LimFC (regarding the financial criteria of the licensing system): while Shels had audited accounts to submit with their licence application, LimFC did not.

If, however, the books were "cooked", then that is very serious, and should be punished accordingly.
If players haven't received their full wages, or were regularly paid late, then the PFAI needs to get its act together to stamp out such blatant exploitation.

What a joke that the decision has been put off until Monday now.Is anyone surprised

?Every other club has there house in order and is waiting for fixtures to come out.What happens if whatever punishment if any is given to Shelbourne is appealed by Ollie Byrne which could easily happen given his track record.

The word is that Ollie is holding out to get his nephew in as Chief Exec

while the consortium want someone else. It's obvious that Ollie won't let go of the reins. Who'll call his bluff. The consortium have nothing to lose so will sit tight. The FAI including Son Of Joe have everything to lose. Mind you they've shown themselves to be shameless so far in evertything they've done but they can't go on giving extensions for ever nor will the Mandarins of Revenue wait forever.

Just heard also another reason for the hold up on the shels issus is that shels owe the FAI 250k in money missing over ireland tickets.
It just gets bettter and better

Even the most casual observer could see that Ollie was juggling with a huge pile of unpaid bills for years. The situation for Shels was bad enough before - but it got a whole lot worse when Ollie's normally totally private desk was exposed to scrutiny from others who were trying to save the club.

I can't really see how Shels can be allowed to play in either division - because surely to allow them to do so, would involve ignoring a large part of the pile of unpaid bills.

Then again - we aren't talkig logic, we're talking FAI.

That's the third time I've heard that today, from fans of three different clubs.

Option A: FAI owed �250k by an eL club, with at least a remote prospect of getting their money back
Option B: FAI owed �250k by an ex-eL / LSL / defunct club, with not even a remote prospect of getting their money back
Not that this would sway the FAi's decision.

I actually posted on here about Ollies Ticket Allocation which is the biggest of any el club. Ollie knows where all the bodies are buried in relation to Johhny D's rise to power in the FAI so expect shels to get away with all this on monday.

Its the Shels fans I feel sorry for. Look at all the work they have put into saving their club just like rovers did. I mean look at everything they have done to date.............................................. ......................... ehm, ahh, ummm,

Still they can relax after a job well done if Ollie's nephew takes over Shels because you can be sure he wont let Oily have anything to do with the club!

And besides - didn't you know that it was impossible for fans to take control of a football club ? Especially one that is financially bankrupt....

If true, surely this makes the likelihood of a fair and balanced decision on Shels nigh-on impossible ?

True, true. Can just see Oily taking a back seat & having nothing further to do with shels if he hands control of the club to his ex-kitman nephew Andy.

Still i'm sure his good mate John can find a suitable position for him in Merrion Square. Its full of back stabbing snakes so he should fit right in.

I recall seeing one of the auditors' reports on the shels accounts posted up here. I have never seen an auditors opinion (I examine them every day at work) where the opinion was so full of disclaimers of opinions and highlighting uncertainties!

Pineapple Stu (an accountant) said that the auditor's report was 'highly qualified' or something. I get the impression that it was a pretty serious red flag.
