Anthony Rooney has been appointed as Bray Wanderers' new Community Promotion Officer.
Mr Rooney (28), a native of Bray, will take up his position towards the end of February.
General Manager Jack O'Neill said “It is a major step forward for Bray Wanderers and I would like to wish Anthony the very best in what will be a very challenging role within the club.
"Anthony will bring a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm to the position and I have no doubt will be very successful in his position as our Community Promotion Officer.”
Anthony Rooney said last night it was an honour to have been appointed.
"The challenges for the club going forward are immense," he said, " but the quality and calibre of the people involved in all aspects of the club, Directors, Team Management, Staff and the two Supporters Clubs are second to none.
"With the continued support of the business and sporting community, I have no doubt that the future is looking very positive for Bray Wanderers, and I am looking forward to taking up the position."
