Get behind the team, get on top of the FAI.

Would look nice on a banner.

Lads, while I agree that the idea of a protest against the FAI is a good idea, I can't understand why people are talking about turning their backs on the team etc.
It will be a historic day in Croker, great atmosphere and a perfect time to get behind the team. I'm sorry, but I find it quite mad why people want to go to the game to cause unrest.
If people don't go to support the team, then don't go at all.
Have protests outside Merrion Square but leave Croker for the fans who will get behind the team.
Imaging Keane and co coming out on that great day to see people turn their backs?
It certainly won't help proceedings on the pitch which is where it matters.

Just my opinion, but if people are prtoesting against the FAI, then our first match in front of 70 odd thousand people in Croke park aint the place for it, Merrion Sq any other day is, or Citywest hotel when they have one of their big meetings

Where they can safely ignore it and no one will notice? I don't agree with turning your back or anything like that (as said above it would be counter-productive anyway) but I don't have a problem with anti-Delaney banners and getting behind the team.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

I fear a banner on display saying "get on top of the FAI" would quite quickly be spun by Delaney into a press release saying how he deserves a pay rise because he's so popular with the fans that they have publicly declared they want to ride him.
On the way into the stadium, an elderly San Marino Steward waved us in and said "Tonight, may the best team win"

    And they nearly did.

So how do we get the wider football following population of Ireland aware of any protest in order for it to be effective?
There's a lot of anti-FAI feeling in the media of late - I'd say if you informed them about any protest in the days before the games, they'd carry the story and get word out to the wider public for you.
Journalists are lazy - if you send them an interesting e-mail, chances are they'd pick it up and run with it.

Might go down well on the schoolkids section.

How about "The Wheels on the Bus" or "Three Blind Mice".

    Ahem.
    It was a joke.

And this isn't one of those "it was a joke" (insincere) posts.
