A great character and a great goalie who played in 4 decades from the 60's to the 90's. When you met him around town he had had time for a bit of banter and craic.

My Dad said that he was talking to him just 2 weeks ago. Must have been very unexpected.

    Very sad to hear.

Never saw the man play, but by the number of times I´ve heard or seen him mentioned, he sounded like one of the greats. RIP

A legend is right, there cant be that many players who have played top flight football for 4 decades!! The season Biscuits got injured, he played excellently.

Only read it in the paper a couple of hours ago. I can't believe it. I only saw him that year biscuits got injured. My abiding memory is the penalty save against bohs that time. I am in shock to hear it.

    Rest in peace.

    Alek Ludzic

My Dad still talks about his first game for Cork Celtic.

It was against Cork hibs and he played the proverbial blinder and Hibs couldn't score no matter what they tried.

One of the all time Cork soccer greats.
