Jayzuz the Frogs have taken Foyleside from the Brits, did the ''Boys of Wexford'' give them any asiistance or were they too late ?
EL grounds are like good episodes of The Simpsons, no matter how many times you see them they're still funny

Didn't take long for this thread to be consigned to the club ghetto. Mustn't have reached the quota of positive Cork references.

Extreme South-east sounds like a white-water-rafting-skateboarding version of the normal South-east.

I wonder what headline will be used when Tusker Rock United get a licence.

Anyway, best of luck. Hope to take a trip up in the new season.

Does anyone know if we have any pre season matches arranged?
I know there was talk of a game with Waterford as a fundraiser thing.
    Any news of other games?
If they were playing any games in Dublin I'd love to go have a look.
I'd fancy our chances if Shels wanted a game!

Any sign of a website yet?
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

While Liverpool fans embrace their new owners, concerns are already being raised about the man behind Tuesday's other big takeover.

While the good people of Wexford are no doubt delighted that millionaire Mick Wallace has taken over the running of Wexford Youths, a few dissenting eyebrows were raised when he described himself as "a devoted enthusiast of Italian football, and Juventus in particular".

They have plans and Wallace may know a thing about building. If his stadium work is close to being as good as his work around Dublin City centre, they'll be OK

We got a licence because the plans are in place to build a stand. There will be temporary seating in for the start of the season. And as Dodge pointed out, Mick is well capable of building a nice ground.

    Article from Monday's Irish Times

Wallace expects team to struggle this season, sees them challenging for promotion in three years.

    No surprises there then!

wexford county or wexford town would have been more like it.

it all getting very cosey down around the south east, waterford, wexford, kilkenny, cobh, all in the 1st division and only a few miles apart, but then again i can see waterford getting promoted back to the premier before the season starts.
Juventus means youth and there is also a basketball team in Barcelona called juventut Badalona (Badalona Youth), but there is no previous in the English speaking world afaik.

So according to the rumoured fixtures it'll be Waterford up first, or Shels in the case they get relegated. Should be a cracker either way. Really hope I can make it. Many people planning to attend?

Mick said on the local radio today that he asked for an away game first, to give him an extra week to get Newcastle ready. Hopefully it'll be Waterford.

Waterford would be great alright, although a game in Dublin would suit me better from a selfish viewpoint.
