    Healy and Farrelly.

How many highly paid passengers can one team absorb?

Whenever I saw him play for Celtic he ran around like a headless chicken without any real composure. Had a lot of raw energy and effort though. Not sure how much of that he can offer after all those injury laden years. It's a positive enough step for the league that at least this type of player can now be bothered to come here. I hope he can remain injury free and get his career back on track.

Massive news. A huge boost to the club. Its amazing how things can turn around so quickly. Potentially excellent midfield, just need to keep out forwards fit & hope some others step up the defence positions.

    Colin Healy Signs for City
Cork City Football Club are very pleased to announce that terms have been agreed with former Celtic and Sunderland midfielder Colin Healy for a 2 year contract with the club.

26 year old Healy, who has 13 caps for the Republic of Ireland, expressed his delight at joining the Rebel Army. Healy told CorkCityFC.ie “I have been very impressed with the organisation and ambition displayed by everyone at Cork City over the last few weeks and I look forward to joining such a wonderfully vibrant football club.”

Manager Damien Richardson said “It is a great pleasure to welcome Colin on board. It is a great compliment to our football club and to the league that a player of his calibre has decided to join. Allied to the signings of Gareth Farrelly and Darren Murphy, this has been a most productive week for Cork City Football Club.

Richardson also confirmed to CorkCityFC.ie that he hopes that there will be further additions to the squad by the end of the week.

Moderator: It can stay in eL section for now. Will move in CCFC section after a few days.

Biggest signing in the league in years. I've no idea if he will work out but obviously has ability. This will however be a good boost to the leagues positive publicity as hes played for two former irish clubs in Britian.

Refering more to the spoofer but it also remains to be seen if Colin's best years are ahead. Like how do we know he's going to ever get away from Cork?

With the Irish media ..... yes !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

    Fair point

But I was thinking more along the lines of over there!!

Genuinely wasn't meant as a dig at Cork City, just standards in the league in general

To accuse me of being bitter is just ludicrous

With a new striker like Fenn, centre half and full back then we will win the league.
