Isn't there a chap called David Last next in line for the centre back role aftter Shorthall last season?

Of course a lot of those lads can play in other positions. Daz Ryan can (only) play in midfield, Tony Mac can play in defence, Podge and Conan can play up front and I think either Forsyth or Moran came on at left wing in the last game of the season.

Yeah. Don't think he's made any first team squad yet so that's why I left him out.

We seem to be particularly inactive in the transfer market this winter so someone will have to make the step up. There's also the Monaghan scholarship lad who Magic Me can't speak highly enough of.

What happened to your rumour about Sullivan coming back to Belfield? And are you sure Gally is still with us?

Brian O'Callaghan- left winger. I saw him play last season for the U-21s and he looks a good prospect. He seems more of an out and out winger than what we have in the squad currently.

I think Sully will be training next week, don't know whether or not a deal is in place. I presume Gallagher is back?

Well the players are only ever on a one or two year contract. I'd assume he's tired of playing No.2 to Quigley.

I could have sworn Magic Me said O'Callaghan was a centre back, but sure if you've seen him in action.

Evan McMillan is a centre-half as well; was on the bench during the season.

Neil Gallagher is probably gone; can't remember the reserve keeper's name at the moment. Kurt or Keith Davis or something.

Billy Bob's injury may get the better of him.

    Timmy Purcell up front.

Sure. It won't get updated much this week though.

He can play left back or left wing. He's a dodgy left back, often gets caught out positionally. He is a good winger, but I'd wouldn't say he'd be good enough for Cork, unless he only had to fill in when needed.

I pretty much agree with that.

Surprised to here ye're looking at him to be honest. Dman, maybe you shouldn't have given him all that abuse after the last game of the season!

We've signed Patrick Sullivan, Matt Gregg and Shane Flynn (I think).

I've updated the first post. Does anyone know the names of the left back or striker that came on against Wayside or the full name of 'Fitzy' that played on the right?

You could probably add in the list of players who played the indoor football -

Declan O’Donnell; Damien Kelly, Shane Flynn, David Last, Greg Bolger, Fran Moran, Conan Byrne, Eoin O’Cinneide, John Brophy, Tim Purcell, Ger Callaghan, Kieran Harte

Seven (in bold) have played for the first team so far.

    The keepers we have at the moment are;

    First team- Quigley and Gregg

U-21- Karl Coleman and Declan O'Donnell (not sure which is first choice, but I think it's Coleman).
