Who is criticising? Maybe you are assuming I knew about O'Shea's injury

At the time I didn't actually know O'Shea was injured, never mind seriously enough injured. I don't watch much english football or follow Man U match reports.
It was just a harmless comment from me to follow on from Scram, which read like a spoof to me.

O'Shea played the last 20 or so mins today, came out for rafael who was looking a little dodgy. That injury mustnt have been quite so bad after all, a tad bit of an over exaggeration from Fergie!!

Great game today at right back from O'Shea! Up and down the wings, great crosses, great support, well taken goal.

Nasri wasn't exactly much of a threat but he played very well today. Much better than Evra who couldn't seem to make a pass.

O'She is doing well. very well actually.

O'Shea was very good again last night. Took his goal brilliantly as well. I hope he wins another CL medal and starts in the final if they can hold off Arsenal at the Emirates. It mustn't be easy for a full back to have Ronaldo in front of you because a) he doesn't track back and b) every stray pass you make he has a hissy fit.

The paris chance was harder in fairness. He caught both right in the middle of his boot. Eddie Jordan was saying at HT on R5 Live that all he did was poke it in but I thought he hit it pretty sweetly. Damn him!

Very modest type of person. Being a regular in the Man U team is doing his game a lot of good and increasing his confidence. Well done JO'S. Love to hear the Waterford accent at the back of his throat in the interviews (my mother was from there as well). Perhaps not aggressive enough like Moran, McGrath, McCarthy etc as a centre half but O'Leary would be a player of a similar type and he didn't have a bad career.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Excellent performance from O'Shea last night, delighted he finally seems to have improved his concentration levels and we're seeing the best of him.

But he's nowhere near the player O'Leary was at that stage of his career and I doubt he'll ever get to that level. That's not meant as a criticism but O'Leary was a top class centre back and one of the best playing in England in his day.

    my thoughts exactly.

I think the chance in France came at him alot quicker than last night and it was further out. JOSH has been one of uniteds more consistent performers this season and deserves all the credit he gets. Has taken much stick from Irish supporters in the past but nowadays rarely makes mistakes for either club or country.

Have we ever had a scorer at this stage of the competition?
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.

I think I should the parachute, because I'm great.

In fact, I think I should get both parachutes, in case one doesn't work.
