    LM & the disappearing players

LM has been blamed for the departure of many players during the last year or so....

Tynan - thought he was God and should be in the first team ( presumably ahead of Ollie). LM said he wasn't, TT left.
Where is he now - KIlkenny, bottom of Div 1. Shels didn't take him.

Herro had some problems even under Mountfield and has now settled nicely in Div 1. Major attitude problem.

Flanagan got the hump when dropped. I have some sympathy with him, but it's a squad game. He has also settled nicely in Div 1.

Ollie and Coughlan were leaving anyway for $$$.

Buckley left under a cloud but he was s***e for the last season anyway. Has he got a club?

Moore & Cotter weren't up to it.

Mulligan - we don't really know the story do we? So he wantd to stay.. that's of no consequence without knowng the context of the problem.

Greg - major attitude prob, going to Echo with his issues. Went to Longford and grew up. LM accepted the change and now thinks Greg is one of the 3 best players this season.

Bottom line for me is that with the exception of Mulligan, who was not only cover, CCFC have not lost key players because of LM.
The nature of their departure was messy, fair enough, but would we be happy with a team full of the above players now?
The timing of their departure was unfortunate as it left the squad quite light, but cleaning up the squad to create room for new blood takes time. And now we have Rennie, George, Flynn etc etc. All better players.

So, the Murphy Out group who point to the departure of players as one reason for LM to pack it in...case not proven conclusively lads.

the man has not got a brain, knows **** all bout tactics and would struggle 2 manage an A.U.L. side

I think its a bit unfair trying to kick some good players out cos they spoke out of turn outside the club. Remember players such as Greg & Tynan were & still are fairly young guys.

We seem to only have Colin T & Greg as Murphy couldn't get them to leave.

If Greg is one of our best players this season strange he been playing so many different positions when he playing so well...

it's a trait of the old skool within the club that they shaft people who don't agree with their ways... liam has gotten rid of people who speak the truth about his "management"... noelle got Greg Cantillon shafted by the club when he was doing a good job on the marketing side... caulfield was the ring leader behind getting rid of mountfield... etc etc etc. a great club with lots of fools

Pete, my understanding is that both were signed up on new or extended contracts since their "troubles", so LM could have easily let them go when their previous contracts expired.
I'm open to correction on that though?

Please say this is not true, someone .... anyone .... does anyone else know.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Not sure about Colin, but Greg definitely signed a new deal during the close season.
