Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Let's face it: Rovers and Bohs hate each other and, as it's the EL's greatest rivalry, who cares whether it's based on fact or fiction. The pertinent fact is it's genuine. Jayziz, I hate Bohs with a passion (despite liking quite a number of those on the dark side, some of whom are family) and it's great that they feel likewise because genuine rivalry can only work on a two-way street.
Chris Turner will be abused, as will anyone wearing the dreaded red and black. Don't even try to tell me that isn't what football is all about. It's rancid and all the rest, but it's what fuels the flames and beats the **** out of a day at the zoo.

Billy, you're missing the point. Bohs v Rovers IS a day at the zoo.

I've always enjoyed the ole pseudo-republican jabberings frequently heard from the rowfuss fraternity. I always find it amusing as
A: I am quite comfortable with my west brit heritage. I would doubt if there are many people posting on this board that do not have some family member that took the queen's shilling and
B: It is far more statistically likely that the hooped dimwits' forbears who perpetuate these urban myths were knocking out cut-price handjobs to the squaddies arriving on the campshires in that glorious spring of 1916 than manning the barricades at Bolands Mill.

AFAIK from talking to family members football loyaties in Dublin have predominantly been based on geography as long as anyone I've consulted can remember
