    Kearney returns to City

Cork City FC are delighted to announce that Liam Kearney has agreed a two year deal to return to the club.
Manager Damien Richardson said "I'm delighted to have Liam back. Like all City fans I never wanted him to go in the first place. It is now up to Liam and ourselves to make up for lost time. I know that this is something welcomed greatly by the Rebel Army."
Commenting on the deal, which he will sign tomorrow morning at the clubs training ground at Bishopstown, Kearney said "I'm delighted to be back and i'm looking forward to the new season and a fresh start."

Seen him about a bit with City players so i'd say he's very relieved to be back.
Of all the recent City departures, his made the least sense.
    Expect him to start.
Hopefully this is the start of a few signings that might convince others to stay.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

    Thumbs up

He wasn't suited to Shels hoofball.

He had mixed form in last season with City but hopefully that was just distraction of the contract issues.

He'll official be an ex-judas now & will be warmly welcomed after being badly advised.

Delighted he's back. Badly needed a "new" face too.

He got dogs of abuse from some low life Shels supporters. Never gave the guy a chance - thank God!
I think Kearney is good box office. His last season with Cork City, he got impressive exposure in the media, with aul wans phoning in saying he was so exciting to watch, they were going along to see games at da cross. How bad!

He's a bit of a confidence player imo.
Capable of outdoing all full-backs in the league.
However, i've seen Heary, Danny Murphy and the European opposition have him in their pockets for entire matches.
Is likely to get the regular starting place that will give him that confidence back and should have two pacey strikers to work with.
    Optimism.
