    The Game, in bullet points!

Devine flapped a few times. If Mooney did that 3 games running he'd be dropped.

Daly, LM's main blindspot, was repeatedly caught out.

    Greg is the Man.

Not sure about the peno, could have been a dive.

Didn't see the red card offence.

    Rennie is another Man.

For thosde who didn't see it, most of the team ran to LM and had a group hug when George scored.

City had some great chances to finish Shels off ( George and Billy especially) but that OK, we won anyway!

Fenlon will no doubt be raging in the media during the next few days..

Mick is having a few sticky moments alright, but is still far and away the best keeper in the League.

I agree with most of what you say but I think you're being a bit harsh on Deccie. He was solid enough and was not at fault for the goal. Tonight was a night for some arse kicking and he gave Baker and Geoghegan a few roots up the h*le ( they could have been miskicks, of course ).

Greg and Renno were really good, were'nt they? I think Greg is coming on with each game. He has calmed the temper and is now a really important guy in the team - real skill and agression.

    Sending off/peno

I think we had the rub of the green tonight with a few decisions.

IMO it wasnt a peno and from what I saw George had the most blatant dive ever, however someone next to me said the defender stamped on him.

I though Deccie had an ok game, Rennie really is a star, Id like to see Rennie and Greg in the middle of the park for us. Benno didnt do much tonight, it would be nice to see Benno back in the defence again where he excelled.

How did the Shels defender who pulled down Colin P not get sent off never mind booked???
    Oh no not them again

    Daly had a good game??????????????
Slimey geoghan and baker continuosly ran past him as if he wasn't there....
He was a bit better in the 2nd half.
Reynolds and Greg were superb, just wish they were more accurate with some of the passing.
Something has to be sorted out with the Woods/O'Callaghan thing. On a good few occasions last night, G O'C would not pass the ball to Woods when Billy was in good positions.
CP was unlucky a few times, but given the way the game went, we should have scored at least 4.....

Out of order if it´s true. I know we might be on the receiving end of it, but it´s no excuse for any of our lads cheating

    Woods / O'Callaghan.....reasons!

Oddboy - just one point on the above.

IMO, George did the right thing on Friday night in holding up the ball and not giving it to Woods particularly towards the end of the second half.

Far too often Woods went galloping off with no real purpose ( aka that flute Kilbane ). Invariably we lost possesion as a result.

Love him or hate him, George had the confidence, skill and presence of mind to hold the ball up when we needed posession against $hell$.

The bottom line is he was one of our better players on the night.

Oh and BTW, so what if Gannon got the red because of George. After the incident v. Bohs and the dispicable Honker Hawkins ( as a result of a Corkman making the worst call of the seson ) it's payback time to all Dubs.

IMO, G O'C did ok. Don't be describing him as if he were Baggio or Zidane.

So now you are happy to have a City player be exactly the same as what you yourself describe as dispicable?

daly was very poor again he was too easily caught by baker. i was particularly dispaointed with horgan in the first half. by his standards a poor game.

as for greg he was outstanding strong as a ox and excellant in the air. reynolds wasn't far behing him. woods was just plain inconsistent. we do still lack any real cretivity as shels when they played football looked like scoring. city made hard work off it

o'callaghan mixed the good with the brutal and in regard to golden boy it is obvious the guy is plainly not fully match fit. his right anke went again in the second half. i doubt if he is 100 % fit going into games these days as his ablity to trun and run is obviously hampered. moreover he still hasn't scored a goal off play since game 10 of the season

I think Hoggy has not been doing it at all this season.

Daly..............well what hasnt ben said there already

Murray.......I think that he is being badly influenced by deccie, but he hoofs with his head, in that he has plenty time to take the ball down, but just puts a powerful head on it instead.

    Woods.........Drop him

Carey.......doing well as he is playing 2 roles (ie covering for Dalys mistakes)

Greg/Rennie/Bennett..........Outstanding. Let them have one psition and keep it.

Flynn.....less than 100%? never would he dream of it, run run run. But i reckon he is due an injury as he is spending more and more time on the deck.

George........Our very own Paulo Di Canio. Brilliant or awful

Devine......would want to be careful with his flap flaps lately. Mooney is comin to get you!!!

    Colin P.............Super sub

Warren..........Give the guy a run and let him settle, then he will show what he can do.

    __________________________________________________ ____

That was who played the other night, and thats what i thought of them. aside i think that Colin T shouldnt be the scapegoat, I feel he has had an outstanding season, and scored some great goals.

Mulconroy should be given more of a chance.

Gaz..........well i missed the start of the season, but by all accounts did a good job.

Question: Had napier not got injured would Daly get his game or would we just not have loaned Murray???

Agree with most of what you said, especially Warren. He was one of the 3 City players who were anyway decent against the scum a few weeks ago, yet he gets dropped again after that. He really should be given 3 or 4 games to stake his claim. I think he is another who is being unfairly treated.

from what ive seen of Mr. Warren this season he has played very well on the wing.
now some people here have been aying that he is best suited to playing up front.
what is the story with Dave?

Well anyone saw him play up front against Pats will tell u that he isnt best suited there. he was, not for lack of trying, awful. But that was because he was out of position.

warren does look very nervous when he came on aginst shels. the guy is incredibily talented (as anyone like myself) could see see when he played underage football.

btw GWA do you think flynn is far from fit these days?

also how did george miss that sitter in the second half
