    For anyone else, you'd have to subtract the wages paid to him through the season but with Shels...

    Exactly. By even selling Jason Byrne wage bill would be substancially reduced. He might have been on 10k a month which makes for expensive close season. Jason Byrne was injured for a lot of the last few months of the season...

    Disagree, unless you prioritise and value winning one League title over the future of your club (are you Ollie?).

    The marginal benefit still doesn't add up whatever way you look at it and we're not even factoring in the time value of money.

    Jason Byrne will be a big loss to not alone Shelbourne but to the league .All the big names are leaving one by one .......Shame.

    Yeah if you look at some of the players going accross the pond, especially some of those going to Scotland, they are past their bessed and far from being the best players in the league. Keego, Molloy, Bobby Ryan...
