I be surprised if there more than 5k @ either game.
City have already had 7-8k at a game this season without any major problems...
Munster are only playing Connacht pluis it only the Celtic League.
Anyone else feel that a ludicrous and unnecessary mess is in the offing Friday? How stupid is it to have 2 big games kicking off within 10 minutes and 300 yards of each other? Would this happen in ANY OTHER European country? Traffic will be unreal, there'll no doubt be farcical disorganisation on a massive scale. Anyone blame the Gardaí?
I'm not just saying this as someone who would love to have seen both games, I'm thinking of the fans concerned on ALL sides, not just City and Munster.

At the risk of being attacked, is the rugby game a big deal?
How many people go to these games?
Is it important?
Yes, the rugger match is most certainly a big deal.Originally posted by oddboy

Munsters average attendance over the course of a season I would venture is in the region of 7-8000+.
The game itself is very important. It's against Connacht, therefore a matter of national pride and it's a knockout quater-final. Should be close seeing as Munster are short nearly their entire first choice back division.
Prediction: the Mighty Munsters to prove too strong regardless.
To Pete,
this is a game that Connacht are more than capable of winning, given the shortages Munster have.
The Celtic League has also proven to be an ideal arena for blooding new players, Mossie Lawlor being a case in point. It is fought out between Irish, Scottish AND Welsh teams, hence alot of bragging rights are up for grabs for the winners.
Another prediction: the Mighty Munsters to win the Celtic League.

Less of the Egg Chasing.
Less of that please. People, like me, should be respected as much as anyone else if they want to follow more than one sport.Originally posted by razor

All of 7 or 8 years ago (or less) you'd get 2-300 at interpro games and last year 30,000 went to see Leinster-Munster in Lansdowne!Originally posted by Conor74
The irony of course is that they were all going for years, though I seem to remember a time when the attendance at a Connaught Munster Interpro could be could be counted in the hundreds, and I'm all of 28.
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
I think there are many fans of cricket in this country as you almost guaranteed to see england lose again & again..........Originally posted by Conor74
I prefer cricket to rugby myself though.
btw me thinks the Aussies were 40/1 on to win their recent series against the englanders! Now who couldn't love a sport like that?
