Keane seems to get linked with Celtic in every transfer window. I doubt there's anything in it but I'd love to see it. The Milan match is a big tempter to get players in on short term.

Robbie Keane has played in Europe with Spurs this season so he can't play in the champions league for Celtic this year. Celtic don't need him for the league so he won't be going there during the transfer window. It would be pointless.
He's played in the UEFA Cup, he can still play in the Champion's League.
I don't see it happening anyway, Mido is injured, so Jol is unlikely to sell any of his other strikers.
Celtic already have 5 recognised strikers in the squad - Vennegoor, Riordan, Miller, Beattie, and Jurawski - with Maloney and McGeady capable of playing there too. Where would Keane be in the queue for the starting 2 spots? Probably ahead of Riordan and Beattie, behind Vennegoor, and competing with Miller and Zurawski
All irrelvant now - Strachan says it's not going to happen: http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?...out+Keane+move
Keane will not be going anywhere this came up last year and I rubbished it at the time and I will do so again more rubbish from tabloid which should not be given any credence by threads being started every time it appears

If Keane cannot get ahead of someone like Defoe then he should be worried........ Villa would be a good move IMO but I doubt Spurs will let him go unless it's 10 million.

Sorry when could keane not get ahead of someone like Defoe. He is just coming back from Injury and defoe has been scoring so keane just barely passed a late fitness test yesterday so he was on the bench. When the 2 of them are fit all things being equal Keane will start more often than not for Spurs. But sure dont let the facts get in the way of a good story.

If Carlton Cole is linked with Spurs then the whole thing is boll&*ks!
If Defoe remains ahead of Keane for the rest of the season then of course he is gonna be worried. Berbatov will not be shifted as Jol's first choice striker so it's between Defoe and Keane for the other slot. When all 3 were fit at the start of the season he went with defoe in the 1st game, since then they've rotated because of injuries. Keane more crocked than most. My point being is that if Defoe remains in the 1st 11 then it might be time for him to move on. Who wants to play second fiddle to Defoe?

Keane has got the choice more often than not when they have both been fit. Keane has been injured since December and as a result he was out and now he his back he came off the bench for the last 2 games. He is not 100% fit yet. Keane is ahead of Defoe in the pecking order and Spurs but Spurs are in 3 cups plus the league chase for Uefa Cup spot. They have played just as many games now as they did in the whole of last year. He will get plenty of games between now and the end of the season.

It's a nothing story.
As for the Carlton Cole link, he was going to Spurs in Summer, even passed his medical but turned it down at the last minute for West Ham as he thought he would be 4th/5th in line at Spurs and would have a better chance of games at West Ham, nothing has changed in that regard
I think Jol just tosses a coin - heads or tails lads!!! An article in the guardian showed how many players Arnesen (sp) brought in for Spurs before he left for Chelski. It was like a never ending rotating door. Poor old Reidy didn't stand a chance!
