I do think he is a great buy for Wolves.. I will hopefully try and find out when his first game is for Wolves

Now I dont think for a minute that Reading knew what they were getting when they bought Doyle. Some players flourish in different environments. There have been players who have left the EL and people thought they would certainly make it and they did not for various reasons. It is a strange science judging player potential. Especially when moving to a different country comes into the equation.
Exactly right which is why paying so little for him meant it was a gamble they would well afford to take, if he hadn't worked out he would have been released or sold on without a huge loss to Reading.

Wolves are far from a rich club these days so £200k (or however much it is) is a sizeable outlay, they will be expecting Ward to make the first XI pretty soon I would imagine.

People are always being mean to Bohs! Sob!

Incidentally, Bohs have some of the best training facilities going, as they use the elite section in DCU Sport. Can't argue with the rest though. I suppose if we were on the mainland we might be bigger and better.

I hate when people use the term mainland

we are all part of the British Isles so I don't see the point of the term

He was given 10,000 by the Supporters Trust when we were in the First Division to bring in a striker who would score the goals to bring us into the Premeir.
He signed Paul Brown, who scored 0......in other words,he will spend cash foolishly.

I thought Mr Diddley was being sarcastic.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

I could argue all day on this. Surely you mean mainland europe?
As Irishmen we dilute our sense of nation by depending on the English to bring us our balls

From what i've seen of them over the last two or three years(lots of Crowe , less of Ward), it's a has-been v a might be. Gary O'Neill or Jason Byrne would have been better option imo.
Aware of Crowes exploits in Bohs years but don't think he can recapture that.
City definetly have the best bands playing at half-time.

I agree, I'm not 100% sure of Crowe but in a choice between Crowe and Ward I'd take Crowe.

I assume that wws was being ironic too.
I suppose I should have avoided mainland, but in football terms surely it is appropriate.
A less provocative way of putting it would have been 'anywhere other than a GAA and EPL-obsessed sporting and cultural satellite of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.'
Wonder what Mick McCarthy would make of that?

Ward now v Crowe then: Crowe
Warn now and in future v Crowe now and in future: Ward

I just love the way such terms wind up people of a certain (closed) mindset.

Says on teletext that the fee is €250,000 upfront, then €150,000 based on further achievments.
